The Unity Community Mediation Team (UCMT), a 501(c)(3) offers a unique and unparalleled combination of expertise in community led relationships, beginning with a DOJ Mediation between Minneapolis’ diverse communities and the Minneapolis Police Department that began in 2003, completed in 2007 and continues currently with a Memorandum of Understanding, (MOU).
Police Community Relationship Council
The PCRC serves as a collaboration platform, bringing together representatives from the community and the leadership team from the Minneapolis Police Department. Their primary purpose is to review, amend, and reach consensus of the Memorandum of Understanding. This living document outlines critical agreements and commitments, fostering transparency, accountability, and positive change within the city.
